A Tool can create real external effects. Grant only required tools and retain explicit human confirmation for high-risk actions.
Steps
Review built-in tools
Enable or disable platform tools under AI → Resource Library → Tools.
Create a custom tool
Define the name, purpose, input schema, and target. Field descriptions must let the model prepare parameters accurately.
Limit access
Grant the tool only to the agents, Skills, or Copilot configurations that need it.
Verify failure behavior
Test timeouts, denied access, and invalid parameters so failures are never presented as success.
